VOTING AT THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAYPolls in Michigan will still be open from 7am to 8pm. You must vote where you are registered. You will be asked to show ID when you check in to vote. If you don’t have one, you can still vote by signing a form that says you didn’t have an ID. Your vote will still be counted.Plan your day - if possible, make time for a wait if necessary. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT VOTING IN PERSONVOTE BY MAILAll registered voters in Michigan have the right to vote by mail and may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.You must be a registered voter to receive an absent voter ballot, but you can register and apply for an absent voter ballot at the same time.Your absentee ballot must be in your clerk’s hands by Election Day; allow at least two weeks for mail to travel. (You must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License in order to register online)From 14 days prior to an election through Election Day, register in person with your Michigan clerk.You must establish residency in the Michigan city or township where you want to vote 30 days prior to an election.
